More about me and myself…

I am a wife to an incredibly supportive partner and mother to two magical girls, currently living in a small beachside town on the Fleurieu Penninsula of South Australia.

My career history is as long as a Christmas List to Santa - from tattoo artist, warehouse worker, vision science degree, regional art hub co-ordinator, to freelance artist (and a lot in between)!

I spent up until my 30’s undiagnosed and lost on what it was that I really needed in my professional life, but there was always a common core thread of art and helping others throughout my multitude of careers. Careers where I could use my quick inspiration, lateral thinking and use my strength of art. I have been drawing since before I can remember and that my art has always been my tether to the world - how I interact with it, process it, and share with it. I make art, not because I want to, but I need to - I am certain it is as important as oxygen and that if I didn’t create then I’d surely implode.

I am AuDHD and my diagnostic journey was one that happened in conjunction with my eldest daughter’s. The process of diagnosis and then working out what supports suit best then implementing them - was a very clunky and confusing experience for me. It’s not all dark clouds though. Since my diagnosis, I have found in myself validation, understanding and acceptance that I’m not broken, I am not wrong, but I am just ‘different’. That different has amazing perks that I didn’t previously give proper credit for and when I provide myself the right supports to optimise my environment, I truly flourish.

This self discovery and learning has quickly translated into passion. I am incredibly passionate about neuroinclusivity and working to a neuroaffirming world- one where we as a society AVAIL ourselves to neurodiversity - APPRECIATE, VALIDATE, ACCOMODATE, INCLUDE, and LEARN.

This passion is the core of my actions, and why I do everything I do.
