Taking A Longer Look is a Snail Mail Zine Club (say that 10 times fast!) about slowing down, sharing concepts I feel are important, books too, & delivering them through my favourite way to communicate - ART. My hope is that this sparks conversations with people in your world, or even back with me, and that we all pause and muse for longer, in opposition to the quick form content we’ve grown so accustomed to.
Each month, a letter, a zine (or two), a sticker (or two) and an art print card will be snail mail posted out to your letterbox and in my ultimate dream, we start conversations here share art and creations that we feel are impactful and significant, maybe my dream - a book club!
A monthly snail mail envelop delivered to your address full of little goodies posted at the end of every month and getting to you hopefully nice and quick if Australia Post allows it to be so. In the envelope you will find;
A Long Look Zine (monthly) all about observations, news, recommendations, books & more (not all at once but whatever is the focus).
An illustrated A6 print by me that you could use as a postcard if you like - send some snail mail onto a friend!
A sticker (or maybe two, depending on the theme).
Zine for you to complete as a small moment of offline mindfulness.
A Penpal Style letter from me to you.
Bonus exclusive content each week that will be linked in the zine coming in future issues such as online articles that I feel are essential reads, maybe a virtual meet up and chat about books, maybe the start of an online book club… this element I want to ‘go with the flow’ and see where it goes.
