No to Neuronormative Expectations!

ANOTHER ‘neuro’ word, and this one is critical to understand, identify, and most importantly, unlearn. To be truly neuroaffirming, we need to unlearn Neuronormativity. So, what is Neuronormativity?

I acknowledge and honour the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains and their land on which we work and connect. I pay respects to the Elders, past, present and emerging. I recognise and respect their relationship with the land and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
